I just wanted to get people's opinion on this.  FOX Sports has fired Steve Lyons for racially insensitive comments during an ALCS broadcast.  Here's the story on ESPN:

This has been a long time coming.  Steve Lyons is an idiot.  He's one of those "tough-guy" meat heads that only talks about "sucking it up" and "playing with pain" and offers no intelligent analysis while you're watching a baseball game.  He was a terrible color commentator.

I'm just so happy when something bad happens to anyone affiliated with FOX Sports.  Steve Lyons was a microcosm of how horrible FOX Sports is at broadcasting a sporting event.  Hpoefully they'll hire someone intelligent to take his place, but I'm not holding my breath.
