Stay connected for news and updates

Am out of town this weekend for Mom's Day.  Will file complete report next weekend for the teams and players covering two weeks.

For the week, the Twins minor league system saw its first losing week of the year, with a record of 11-15.  Rochester and Ft. Myers had successful weeks with each compiling a record of 4-3.  New Britain was 2-4 and Beloit was 1-5, with their only win a 16 inning 2-0 victory over West Michigan on Wednesday night.  In that game, Brian Duensing was the starting pitcher throwing 9.0 shutout innings, allowing 5 hits and 0 earned runs with 6K/0BB.

With Terry Ryan and Jim Rantz in attendence, Jason Bartlett and Jason Kubel each had excelent weeks at Rochester.  Although Bartlett was rested for two consecutive games following his 4 for 4 game on Monday, he was 9 for 22 with 3 doubles, a triple and 4 runs scored for the week.  Kubel was 9 for 27 with 3 doubles, a home run, 3 runs scored and 7 rbi.

Look for my player and pitcher of the week on Seth's site.

Have a great Mother's Day weekend!
