TR 2nd Best GM in MN

Terry Ryan and all other GMS, are behind Kevin McHale, in terms of top GMs in sports per Forbes.com. KEVIN MCHALE is the top GM. In all of sports.

Really.

His inability to bring in talent, in any form, to surround KG is amazing. He wasted draft picks in multiple ways, bad picks/contracts (Joe Smith anyone?)

I don't know who came up with the formula, but the fact that he was at the top of the list, shouldn't that mean you scrap your formula/article and go a different route? Looking through the list, I thought it was obvious the formula was flawed.

It got me to thinking about where I would rank TR. I wouldn't say he is at the top of the list for me, lack of titles and inability to trust in the youth are strikes against in my book. Top 5 in baseball. Top 10-12 in all of sports. I don't know if I think baseball guys are smarter or they just have less variables (read salary cap) than other sports...where do you think TR would rank in your book, in baseball and in general?

It wasn't just obviously flawed...
...but it was obvious how it was flawed, too.  Basically, if you inherited a team with a huge payroll and a terrible record, all you had to do was not be a total disaster and you would get lots of credit.  You can also tell that they rely too much on winning percentage, as baseball GMs are all clumped pretty tightly in the center of the pack.  Earth to Forbes: it's easier to go 49-33 in the NBA than it is to go 97-65 in MLB.

If you look into the numbers that make up the list, Billy Beane is actually ranked as below average in "payroll containment."  I'd like to see them try to explain that one to him in his office.

Yeah
Forbes has interesting lists when they tell you how much money things or people are worth, but this is crap.  They have no idea what they're talking about.  Some intern put this one together pretty poorly...
Baseball is great because you cant take a knee or kill the clock. You gotta put the ball over the plate and give the other guy his damn shot E Weaver abridged

He's not even a GM...
He's President of Basketball Operations or something.  Just goes to show you how idiotic the list is.  When the top GM on your GM list isn't even a GM, you've got research problems.

CBS
CBS Sportsline made good fin of them for this.  The lsit is littered with guys who haven't been employed by any sports team for over a year.

This is a joke!
This is why you don't look to Forbes for your sports information. Unfortunately, since Taylor is a Money guy who probably reads this publication, this list may have earned McHale another year to torture us Wolves fans with his incompetence.

As soon as I saw
this I new it was a joke because immediately ahead of TR is Doug MacLean.  This guy is probably one of the worst GMs in hockey.
