Around SBN: Jerry Sandusky's Wife Tries To Run A Reporter Over

Larry Bigbie

Bigbie was dumped from the Dodgers organization last night.  He was hitting .349 at AAA, and I'd think he's the kind of low-risk, possibly decent-reward outfielder the Twins should be looking at acquiring now that he's a free agent.  Let him play awhile in Rochester and if you like what you see let him see some of the outfield/dh time that Lew Ford has no business using.

He is by no means an offensive savior, but he could contribute.

He
He was hitting .349 in AAA and got released? Does he have character issues or what?

his contract
was such that something kicked in today if they didn't keep him.

They felt he wasn't worth it.

Someone will take a flier... not saying he'll be worth a flier, but...

Yep
if his injury issues are behind him, I'd like to see what he can do.

Indeed
Yeah.  Not to say he'll come of anything, but it's definitely worth a shot on a guy like this.

He
He showed some decent promise in his 25 and 26 year old seasons, but was poor at 27 and 28, though didn't get a hole huge amount of playing time.
