Clutch?

I’m not familiar with the clutch stat – how is it calculated?

The LD% stat is interesting – Cuddyer appears to have been horribly unlucky (I looked up his BABIP, and it was just .286, while you’d expect more like .320 from that LD%), which gives me some hope for a rebound next year. I’m also impressed that Punto maintained such a high rate.

I think it’s funny that the team released their leader in Isolated Power.

It's a Hardball Times stat.

Here is every Twins’ clutch, and here is the definition.

Denard Span

maybe his BA and BABIP is not TOO much of a fluke given that outstanding line drive percentage

Morneau

Where is Morneau on that line drive statistic? I thought he was all about the line drives.

Morneau’s line drive percentage this year was 19.2%.
