Again, if you have any questions or want to do some research on any of the prospects mentioned, one starting point might be http://www.sethspeaks.net/100208.htm. That is my personal Top 10 list, and it has links to all of my top 50 choices.

Voted for Tosoni...
…who had numbers similar to Valencia (who we ranked #1) during the first 5-6 weeks of the season before his foot injury. Although he missed more than half of the season, his numbers were also similar or better than Ramos, who we ranked #5. Considering this was Tosoni’s second year of professional ball…he is deserving of a ranking in this area of our prospect list. Personally, I believe he has a ceiling as high or higher than those available to vote for at this point…with excellent results on the field in Hi-A ball at Ft. Myers.
alright... you got me...
I’ll vote Tosoni… but I think votes for Gutierrez and Manship wouldn’t be bad here either.
Went with Gutierrez
I went with Gutierrez since he has some electrifying pitches. Could become a REALLY good reliever for the Twins staff eventually.
but...
The Twins will have him starting next year and hope he will continue along that path.
They say
that with that sinking fastball he is a good candidate to become a starter. As with all starters, if he doesn’t show promise as a starter, I agree that they will give him a shot as a reliever, but I think he will get a real shot (min 2 years) as a starter.
Manship for me, second/third starter potential in the higher levels? Yes please...

McCardell...
…was my pick. Sick K rates. As for Tosoni, I can’t get excited about a corner outfielder with no power who has never played a full season of pro ball due to injuries.

And Tosoni did play...
…the entire 2007 season, although it was his first year at short season Elizabethton. This year’s injury wasn’t the type of chronic injury some players seem to get, rather a broken foot when hit by a foul ball.
manship or McCardell
just wanted to point out that slama hasn’t given up a hr in 102 professional innings yet and has averaged 14ks per 9 innings consistantly so far.
McCardell has better numbers than Manship had, when compared at the same level which surprised me a little.
Martin has been extremely consistant the last 3 seasons also ending each with a high obp and an ops around .800-.830 and he has good defense.
not sure how to vote for robinson and tosini. I think they have great potential just not the momentum due to injuries. So I will probably vote them lower because this is for the here and now, but I know they are good prospects.
Delaney again for me.
He tore up his competition. I have no doubt that he will do just fine against the next level.

Delaney vs. Slama
I have a hard time voting for either right now, as deserving as they may be, because they’re practically the same guy. When I do get around to voting for one of them, I’d like to vote for both please.

Yep
Both can be defined by “domination.”

I voted for Manship with Plouffe a very close second.
Just curious, how far we are going with this thing?
Plouffe
I’m not really excited by Plouffe anymore. Look at his numbers, they aren’t impressive at all. He has had a lot of years with OPS below .700.

30?
I had said 30, but I think we can kind of play that by ear as we get further along. Could do 50 if people want to and would get anything out of it.
I went with Gutierrez...
By all reports he has electric stuff, and I think he’ll rise very, very quickly through the organization.
I actually gave a great deal of thought to Romero here as well. I think he’s my next pick after Gutierrez.
Martin I like a lot, but his ceiling on this team is a 4th OF, so I just can’t see a vote for him.
Looks like we're headed for a Manship Parmalee run-off...

A-Ball Relievers
I just can’t believe Delaney or Slama are going to offer much at the big league level. Maybe servicable relievers, maybe even one great year in there somewhere, but certainly not future lockdown closer material. Some stated a desire to see Delaney called up this year, and the bullpen certainly needed help, but obviously the powers that be didn’t think he was ready. Considering that Mijares, younger than both, did get the call, I’d have to take that as further evidence against either one.
I went with Manship here and Guiterrez next; Guiterrez may have a little more upside (debatable) but Manship is a click closer.
Vote
I’m going to let this one play out for a little bit… sometime between noon and one Central Time, I’ll check and if one of the two has a lead of 2 or more, I think that’ll be the winner and we’ll move on… If there is a 1 vote difference (or a tie), I’ll do a prospect run-off. Is everyone comfortable with that? Winner of the Run-Off 13. I personally think that the loser should have to go back into the pool (unless the vote is within 3-5 or something)since a third candidate is within striking distance and we don’t know how the votes that went to the winner would have been broken up.
