The current tally is how I'd vote 1,2. Revere first, then Valencia. It's nice to have a couple position players on top.

Ben Revere
Biggest upside out of rookie ball, which means a lot after seeing guys like Lewis stumble this year.
"I couldn't do that. Could you do that? Why can they do it? Who are those guys?"
Valencia had a good year as a 23-year old,
hitting 311/366/500 between hi-A and AA, striking out 113 times and walking 45. He hit 15 homers and 37 doubles. That’s a good season.
But as a 20-year in Beloit, old Revere hit 379/433/497 with 31 strikeouts and 27 walks; 17 doubles, ten triples and a homer…and 44 stolen bases. I still have to vote for Revere.
Wow
Wow, when i last checked, Revere was up with double of Valencia’s votes. It seems Valencia has roared back with about 85% of the last 50 votes…

Can anyone remember our top 10 from last year?
It would be interesting to see how the players fared this season. Are any of them closer to the show/in the show? Or did they drop off the face of the planet?
Just curious.
What would my life be like without the '91 World Series?

choices
shouldn’t we have a few more choices. Seth had aaron hicks at numero uno and he isn’t an option here.
run-off
This is actually a run-off. I had listed 8 or 9 players in the first poll. And Valencia and Revere tied. Hicks and Morales were behind them. So this is just a run-off for the #1 spot. By about noon today or so, I will pick the winner of #1 and we will start voting for #2.
Geez
Geez, every time I check the site the run off sew saws back and forth…

voting
Are all votes from people with a username? I know I am only able to vote once, but can others vote more than once?
Hope...
I think it’s great that we are over 200 votes, but I really hope that as we progress, more people will explain their choice in the comments to encourage discussion.
In my mind there were four guys that I would have considered at #1, Revere and Valencia being two fo them. But I am curious why people would pick one over the other.
Valencia Vote Verification
I’d originally picked Hicks, but small sample size arguments have kind of swayed me the opposite direction. Valencia may not be the next Longoria/Zimmerman/Wright, but he is near major league ready, has shown he can adjust to better competition (at least so far) and he profiles as a good defensive guy.
Revere and others have a huge upside, but I worry that so much of Revere’s game is predicated on speed. Injuries like he had this year could rob him of that, and he’ll fade away into trivia land.
Poll complete
Danny Valencia was voted the Twins Top Prospect.
