The Twinkie Town Top 50
I wanted to kind of give some finality to the Twins top 50 prospects list by simply posting the list in its entirety.
As with all prospect lists, there is a level of imperfection to it, but gathering the thoughts of many into this make it still very interesting.
What stands out to you? Who should be higher? Lower? Who should be on this list? Who shouldn't? What are your general thoughts on the Top 50?
Hitters - 25, Pitchers - 25. (It's interesting, the top 5 are hitters, 6 of top 10 are hitters, 10 out of top 20, 15 out of top 30, and 25 of top 50. I think that represents some good balance overall.)

Two comments Seth...
…but first, thanks for doing this as it was a lot of fun and I think very interesting.
First, I think we have Bobby Lanigan low at #48. Second, Armando Gabino was added to the 40 man roster and we don’t have him in our Top 50!

A third comment...
…I think to be selected #30, a player should have proven something on the field. But we have beaten that horse to death. Still, great list…thanks!

Reading more and hearing more about Lanigan, I may agree.
As for Gabino, is he a better prospect because he’s on the 40 man roster?
As for on-field, I don’t necessarily agree. It’d be nice, but I also don’t know that we should make too much of 200 at bats either.

Great job, Seth...
I had a good time voting and it even made me do some research on some of these guys. I am wondering if the strengths and weaknesses of the Twins has anything to do with the way we value the prospects. Our strength last season was most certainly our starters and one of our weaknesses was our inconsistency on offense. Does that weakness make TT value the hitting prospects more?
I am waiting for next year when Tonkin makes this list.

Huh...
that’s a good question and in reality, there is probably somethign to that thought.
and from what we’ve heard, I can see tonkin making the list next year. However, I can’t imagine a scenario in which he doesn’t stay in EST.
