Who did Livan knock off of the 40 man?

The Twins home page roster lists 41 players on their 40 man roster, including Livan.  I would guess that one player from the remaining 40 is on waiver right now to clear a spot for him - who do you think it is?   My guess is Garrett Jones as he is out of options and it might be easier to sneak him through now than at the end of spring training.  Any insight on who they risked to make room for Livan?

speculation
I would bet just about anything it is either Jones or McDonald.  You would think it would have been announced somewhere by now.

McDonald
Its probably going to be McDonald since we have a horde of OF's already and nobody wants him beside the Twins...

hopefully both of them lol
both of these players suck extreme ass and dont even belong on the 40 man roster because they both have been given too many chances to suceed and blew it so i say that we get rid of both of them because who would miss them? not me

I mean
I mean, neither Jones or McDonald has really had much of a chance in the majors to prove themselves, especially McDonald.  I bet McDonald could be a decent 4th OF somewhere.

I'd guess it's Jones, but it could very easily be McDonald.

Baseball is great because you cant take a knee or kill the clock. You gotta put the ball over the plate and give the other guy his damn shot E Weaver abridged

Jones
I wouldnt exactly say id miss him but Jones has a bit of power and if given the chance could produce a few homers.

Keep Jones........
At least until the end of spring training. You need a potential backup for Morneau if Justin goes dow. Who would the Twins have -- Randy Ruiz, Brock Peterson, Jon Knott? Howie Clark?

McDonald should probably be around in some capacity. You never know who might still go down amongst the rookie crop. Again, a guy to cut at the end of spring training depending on who ends up at Rochester.

You'd think Carman Cali could be on the bubble. Is he any better than any of the other spring training invites (Mariano Gomez?).

Bobby Korecky could probably stand a release to find a potential job somewhere else, as don't even see him as a long-term callup possibility for the Twins. basically taking up space.

What's Matt Tolbert's future role with the organization?

Wow! A lot of guys that don't need to see 2008 with the Twins!

If Morneau goes down...
You'll probably see some combination of Lamb/Buscher/Macri at 1B, or you'll see us make a move for a Nick Johnson type.

Or
Mijares could just be put on the 60-day DL which would clear up a spot. At least for the time being.

Timing
I think you can only use the DL during the season. Not sure it that includes spring training. But I don't think you can put Mijares on the 60-day just yet.

I'm just going off of what happened last offseason with Liriano, when we signed Ortiz but still lost Romero even though Liriano was not yet on the 60-DL.

Waiver wire
You would think MLB releases the waiver wire at some point. Where can we find this information?
