TWINS WIN!! TWINS WIN!!
J-Mo busts off a single and Harris comes in, 2-1 win!!
That was a great game, and what a perfect ending. I thought they might try to IBB Justin, considering how cold Delmon’s been…

Punto over Tolbert?
Why has the experiment with Tolbert at short ended? I think you have to play him, especially since he has been knocking the cover off of the ball.
I thought that Gardy had been taken behind the woodshed in the off-season about starting Punto. I guess I was wrong.

Gardy=bad
That’s the TwinkieTown Code, isn’t it?
Tolbert crushed a pitch off his foot Friday night. He limped back in and whiffed for the game’s final out. If it had happened in any earlier inning, he would have left the game.
Fans should be taken behind the woodshed when they jump to conclusions.
Q: Generally, who should have a larger role in evaluating college and minor league players: scouts or stat guys?
A: Ninety-five percent scouts, five percent stats. Stats can tell you who is good, but they’re almost 100 percent useless when it comes to who will improve. -- Bill James.

Maybe for some people.

whiffed for the game’s final out.
Um, it was a nine-pitch at bat against the other team’s closer. Gardy even mentioned how impressed he was that Tolbert fouled off six two-strike pitches.
Also, he came in as a pinch runner in last night’s game for Craig Monroe, and a defensive replacement in this afternoon’s game. If the foot were bothering him, I doubt he would get those opportunities off the bench.
Punto’s in there right now because Gardy likes his glove. Many more games in which the team scores three runs or less and he might be forced to put the better bat in the line-up.
