Barmes and Spilborghs
batting 2nd and 3rd tonight…I think the Rockies were spying on me, but I think this is a good move for their offense, with these two guys this high in the order.
Lucky for the Twins: Holliday gets the night off.

The Twins
lineup sure looks a bit empty without that DH option, too. Whether it’s Kubel or Monroe, either one of them at least gave us a decent hitter through the 7-slot. I seriously hope Lamb can pick it up here, asap.

Agreed
What a punch less looking offense. I’d just pitch around Morneau and take my chances nibbling with everyone else. Surprisingly the Twins have been walking more but that hasn’t equated into more runs necessarily. One of Lamb, Mauer or Young needs to homer in this series otherwise I’m officially tossing up the red flags.
Gardenhire's major league career: Banjo hitting, futility infielder who couldn't lick it.
Rick Anderson's major league career: Strikethrower who never made it happen his sub 90's fastball.
Really gives a new definition to living vicariously through other people, don't it?

Young
I don’t know if they’re prepping him to be the next Ironman (games played in a row), but he’ll be a liability tonight versus Jimenez. If Gardy was actually sticking to his guns, he’d go with his hot hand method and play Kubel. He’s on fire since his pinch-hit homerun the other night.

Morneau
out on a foul-tip? I really HATE this kind of an out…either foul it off so you get another pitch, or just miss it completely so I don’t have to sit and think if he’d only gotten a bit more contact…

It's just the same
As a foul pop-up. He made contact, but it’s caught. I think it’s frustrating, but I’m fine with the rule.

Blackburn's been efficient
here in the 2nd. Not watching the game live, but from the looks of things, things are going well. Keep it up, NB!

Sounds like
Holliday was replaced by Spilborghs due to a stiff lower back.
It also looks like Tolbert could be headed to the DL. Get ready for some regular MLB time, Alexi Casilla. I’m sure Buscher will be on his way back.
