If Livan were to continue is surprisingly good pitching of the first 2 months of 2008, would you resign him?
I would have to say yes...if Livan could possibly win 16 games for us this season with an ERA under 4.00, I would be amazed.
I always liked the signing of the big man simply because I knew he was an innings eater and veteran. At the time, we needed him. Now, if it were not for Livan, the Twins would be down in the cellar 10 games under .500 with the Tigers.
So my question is this....if Livan could go 16-5 with an ERA of 3.68 with 120 SO and 35 BB....would you resign him?
Plus, he is one of the best hitting pitchers in the Majors....only others that come close to Livan are Zambrano, Santana, and Micah Owings (sure power)...
