My vote for two series victories is looking good, if not optimistic.

Has anyone noticed that Slowey cannot hold the lead even for one inning? I think in his last three starts, the Twins have given Slowey a lead and in his half of the inning he coughed it right back up—just a comment that’s all.

In any case, the way the Twins have been playing since the Boston series is nothing short of UGLY! I thought the final game against Toronto would be the worst the Twins played all year, but this game against the Rockies is right up there.

We really need to snap out of this. At least Delmon, Morneau and Mauer are hitting well.

and I’m a Rockies fan, but I like the Twins. Here’s some of my observations:
Slowly: a soft throwing righty? do they make those? He woke up even the Rockies batters. He’s doesn’t have an out pitch. 2nd then 3rd time through the line up batters figure him out
Twins Line-up: Not enough umph in that Sunday line up. Morneau and Young are the only 2 that could really do anything. WAY too many automatic outs. Twins need a SS and a 3rdbaseman that can hit, and one of them with some pop.
Cuddyear: You guys aren’t going to like this, but he’s your Brad Hawpe who is our Kevin Mench. They really aren’t that good. Just good enough to tease you into thinking they are better than they really are.
Francis has struggled this year, but the Twins help out as they were ahead of his change-up all day long.
Besides the errors the Twins played fundamentally sound, moving guys up, hitting Sac Flies, etc in this series. They are obviously a well coached team. The Rockies have an idiot for a coach, so it was easy to see the contrast.
Lots of Twins fans attended the Twins 1st trip to Coors Field. Lots of group pictures after the game I saw.
