CF
I would rather see Young in CF over Cuddyer. Cuddyer has a strong arm and plays the baggy pretty well. But he doesnt track balls well at all.

i'd be nervous about either one.
but i get nervous when craigsy is out there, too. hopefully a game here and a game there won’t make too much of a difference, but no matter who you are, you always want to limit how many innings you’re giving a guy in a field at a premium defensive position, especially when they don’t have a lot of experience there.

Bonser
Bonser is working a good start aside from two early solo dingers.
But the Rangers are mounting a rally here in the seventh. Bonser is only 75 pitches in. THis should be a chance for Bonser too…
Ug, Bonser just got a DP ball but Boof rushed the throw and Everett dropped it. Bases load 1 out now.
Come on Boof…

Actually, it would’ve been a great pitch to turn on and pull a fly ball. It’s not like he needs a freaking dinger there. Stupid opposite field mentality. That was a brutal inside-out swing.

He should be available...
pitched 2 innings on the 13th, then 2/3 of an inning a couple days ago.
But after this performance, knowing Gardenhire, he’ll prefer to keep Bass for tomorrow night, so we have at least one fresh arm (apart from Nathan, since 5 pitches don’t count). Who knows.

Twins pitchers hitting at the Dome
Last time: July 6, 2007 – Redmond left the game hurt, and Matt Garza had to bat twice.
Before that: Ray Fontenot, August 24, 1986, in a game a lot like this one.

i don't mind that he gave up the DH
because SOMEONE had to play defense. i’m just confused by not extending nathan for an inning. in a game like this, your best relief pitcher, and one of the best in the game, should be able to give you more than 5 pitches.

Since no one else has really stepped up since Neshek went down, is it time to start looking Korecky’s way for more high pressure situations ie: tie games in the 9th or slim leads in the 8th?
