I'll make a few calls
for tonight’s game since I’m about to hit the sack here….I know, it sucks, but 1am games don’t work for me this week.
The Calls
1. Delmon Young goes YARD
2. Twins win, 6-5
3. Craig Monroe plays a pivotal role
4. Paul Konerko goes YARD
5. Kevin Slowey goes six, allows 3 runs, bullpen nearly blows his lead
I’m out, check you guys tomorrow!
4, WRONG!
I am wondering the same thing. What happened???

damnit he's on tonight
Buehrle is looking damn good tonight so far. Slowey’s not half bad either but with all those sluggers it just seems like a matter of time til he gives up a dinger.
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
I JINXED The SOB
That never works. Not that that’s what I was going for but damn. That was a beautiful shot
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
Span Span Span
that guy better watch out or he just might win himself the starting CF job.
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
I’m All For Sending Gomez down to Triple A to Let him work on his Plate Discipline and His Batting in General when Cuddy Comes Back
I think
if it weren’t for public relations the Twins might do just that. It would make the most sense right now and then bring Gomez back in September.
I just don’t believe the Twins will send “go go” down. Right now thought it would be ludicrous to bench Span with how he’s been playing. I honestly think he’s even with Gomez as a defender and obviously a far better hitter.
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
geeze
left center field even for Redmond

The reviewed it
The umps got together and realized it wasn’t a fair ball. Dye was even heading back to the plate before it was called a fair ball. Luckily they made the right call FOUL BALL
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
Dye
Dye hit one fould by 5-10 feet
some ump called it a HR
Gardy came out and asked the umps to huddle up

The third-base umpire called a home run on a ball that was about ten feet foul.
The umps conferred… and got it right. But good Lord, anybody with a pair of eyes could see that was foul.

Instant replay. Install it now. Now!
But at least they overturned it this time.
Of course
Ozzie has to come out and fight it. What a douche
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
Ozzie
Ozzie has to come out after a reversal. Thats not douchy, thats baseball

I just hate Ozzie
That guy is such a joke most of the time.
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
Pet peeve
I don’t like it, but it seems that it’s tradition for managers to always contend critical decisions by the umps. For someone who has watched European soccer for most of his life, this is unfathomable, but I guess everything must bow for Convention.
How can “baseball people” at the same time argue that managers have an enormous influence on their teams and still applaud Bobby Cox for being thrown out of games a gazillion times, thereby ostensibly rendering his team in a state of hopeless strategic dearth?
Haha
Im Reading the White Sucks Blog and They are all saying you cant overturn a Call without Instant Replay, HAHA
I love
I love after every run thier pitchers give up, its the end of the world and thier whole team sucks ass

The White Sucks Fans Cant Seem to stay Positive ever since they won the world series. Always Negativity in that city, Even though they have the best Home Run Call an announcer could announce
HE LOOKS UP, YOU CAN PUT IT ON THE BOARD…...YES!
yeah
maybe its the mindset of Sox fans that they are never good since the Cubs get all the attention
I work with a few Sox fans. They are very knowledgeable about baseball and very passionate about thier team. They dont seem like teh Sox fans I peak in at on various Sox fan boards

Knock on wood
Sloweys gotten through 4 innings on 45 pitches. Good start so far, let’s hope he can keep it out of the seats.
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
Why in the world did you say that?
Watch the Sox score three runs next inning.

Slowey in Escense
I agree with Lavelle E Neal on what he said on The PA and Dubay show on KFAN today, That Slowey and Perkins’s next starts are pitching for their rotation spots. with Liriano in Triple A, you would expect the next pitcher to under perform out of those two is going to the pen.
The Welke Brothers
Have now combined to blow two fairly easy calls – first the foul ball, and now a tag play at first where Konerko practically tackled Casilla with the tag, five feet from the base.
Drinky drinky, there, Welkes?
5-0
5-0 now, keep the pressure going

Detroit lost
5 – 0. Thank you Cleveland
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?
He's solidifing his position in this rotation.
Who goes when Liriano comes up? Slowey was the obvious answer before tonight.

I would
I would switch out Perkins for Liriano
leftie for a leftie
and then we would have 3 lefties in the pen, and would limit Perkins innings this year, He has pitched 124 innings this year after about 50 last year

Not yet, it's not.
REVERSE JINX!
Seriously, 75 pitches right now. Keep it going, Slowey. (He’s now struck out three straight hitters – I’d say he’s doing okay.)
