I think the Twins have disavowed
this version of events.
THey have asked him to consider re-assignment, should he clear waivers, or at least, that he wait until Lexi’s finger can be plumbed.
Whether that’s a distinction without a difference, I’m not sure.

Dazzle
Dazzle tried to explain it during the radio braodcast
but from what I took of his explaination, no paperwork has been filed yet. Everett is still on the DL for a couple more days

well
after I type that, I look over at JoeC at the Strib. Casilla might be out for the year?!
The Twins placed second baseman Alexi Casilla on the disabled list tonight after he was diagnosed with a strained ligament in one of his thumbs. To replace him on the roster they activated Adam Everett from the DL.
Yes, there were reports earlier that the Twins had designated Everett for assignment. They actually gave him a contemplative outright assignment form, and he had three days to decide whether to accept it.
Tonight, they called to tell him they needed him back.
But the bad news is Casilla could be lost for the season, depending on the severity of the ligament damage. He will be re-examined on Wednesday.

I have always said
that Everett is a good player overall. He hasn’t been healthy all year, so it is not possible to judge him from what he has done with the Twins. His great defense is supposed to make up for pedestrian offense. He will get some shots now, and I hope he makes good. If the Twins want to win the AL Central someone will have to step up for Casilla.

Everett's rehab
Any word on how Everett looked in his rehab stint? Are the Twins getting back a solid defensive player, or the guy with the gimpy shoulder who can barely throw to first?
Also, another thumb ligament? Isn’t that the same thing Punto, Cuddyer, and Tolbert have had?
