I like the guy’s two different boots. Also, in reading their comments, it makes someone realize how quickly we all get down on our teams when things are going badly (for us, this happened oh… about a week ago) and how high we get when things are going well. We’ve got a lot of baseball left…. But god damn, was that awesome to take 3 from those guys!

As copy/paster of the last photo
Most of the site’s commenters in fact post those out of humor, to mock the few fans who lament every loss like it was Game 7 of the World Series. We’re not blind to the team’s faults, but there’s 2 months of baseball left, this game may not even be remembered in the long run.
I was a multiple time all star throughout my little league career. Won 5 championships- 4 in a row- thats more in a row than MJ… (kenwo4life@aol.com)

Keep telling yourself that
On those two three-run homers, I did the anti-Hawk dance “Put that on the board hosers!”
In prior years, the Sox collapsed after losing a critical four-game series at the Dome. History has a way of repeating itself. I just can’t wait to see Griffey jogging after balls in the gap as he watches them roll all the way to the wall. That’ll be fun.
Oh, yes, I do hate the Pale Hosers. They’re a bunch of whining assholes, arguing about every called strike like walks are a birthright or something.

You should pay Hawk for all the free advertising he does for the Twins
Carlos Gomez is now the next Ken Griffey Jr. according to him, and Mauer and Gomez are two of the prettiest players in the league (interpret that anyway you want to).

with gallows humor. It’s been done here before, too.
Tell you what though—if the Twins go on to win the division, this game will be remembered as a turning point. If the Twins don’t win the division, yeah, it’ll be forgotten eventually.

It certainly has the ingredients to be a memorable game for both sides
If the Sox keep those pesky scrappy Twins at bay, then some idiot writer for the Chicago Tribune will pick one of these meltdown games and say how the team “banded together and forged ahead” or some cliche phrase like that.
