Hernandez Wants To Stay
From Charlie Walters at the Pioneer Press: Twins pitcher Livan Hernandez, 33, who has been with six clubs during his 13-year career and can become a free agent after the season, said he wants to re-sign with Minnesota.
"I like Minnesota, I like the organization; I want to stay here," said Hernandez, who is 8-5 with a 5.22 earned-run average.

Thanks but no thanks
we appreciate the love buddy, we know it’s contagious around here for middling veterans but you can’t stay. you’ll probably stay along for an exciting 2nd half but that’s all we need.
Gardenhire's major league career: Banjo hitting, futility infielder who couldn't lick it.
Rick Anderson's major league career: Strikethrower who never made it happen with his sub 90's fastball.
Really gives a new definition to living vicariously through other people, don't it?

at least
at least we have players on this team that want to stay around.
Whether the fans want them around is another story

Of course he wants to stay
Name another team in the majors that’d keep putting him on the mound every 5th day while he’s on track to allow 275+ hits?
Well, OK, maybe the Pirates.

Nearly ran the table

In the AL Central alone: Detroit, KC and Cleveland.
