Our friend Ubelmann discusses Casilla's past, present and future over at the WGOM. How far off of the "real" Alexi Casilla is his performance so far in 2008?

Casilla has a high ceiling

I agree with Ubelmann that there are nothing about his minor league numbers (except for the lack of power) that suggest that he isn’t as good as we are seeing right now. He is really young and, with the exception of a small hiccup recently, has posted good numbers at all levels. I have high hopes offensively. Defensively, I thought that the Twins were hoping to move him back to SS where he is supposedly more comfortable. Anyone know if they’re now thinking of him more as a long term 2B?
