Around SBN: Bracketology 2012: Duke Finally Steps Up To The No. 1 Line

Buster Olney thinks they might have: "Ken Rosenthal reported that Raul Ibanez has been claimed by an unnamed team, as well; the Twins make a lot of sense as a possibility. But you do wonder whether the Mariners and the team that claimed Ibanez will be able to work out a deal, given that Ibanez is on the border in qualifying as a Type A free agent."

Stay tuned.

I had a dream about this

It would make us more susceptible to left-handed pitching. But it would work if you move Span to center, put Kubel out in right and use Ibanez as the DH.

It would take two first-round prospects to get him because that’s what the Mariners are due to get anyway. How about Plouffe and Mulvey?
