Game 125: Athletics @ Twins
Oakland Athletics @ Minnesota Twins
Injury report, from LEN3: Delmon Young is limping around injured. And Adam Everett is pretty much emergency-only, leaving the Twins with two guys on the bench: Mike Redmond and Mike Lamb. Feel the speed!

Lets go Twins!
Slowey’s WHIP of 1.08 is very impressive. Only Roy Halladay and Justin Duchscherer have a lower WHIP, with Cliff Lee matching Slowey’s 1.08. Hopefully Slowey can continue that trend tonight. Go Twins!

Walk king
This guys given up 23 walks in 29.1 innings. Wait make that 24. Let’s hope we can be patient against this guy.
Peyton's good but have you ever heard of Jeff George?

Crappy
1st inning there. Every guy got ahead of the pitcher and had 3 ball counts but nothing came of it. Really disappointing. Then the homer in the 2nd. Let’s get it rolling now Twins

Cust
I love the guy, but boy is he not a good right fielder. Watching the game, I think a lot of right fielders could have gotten an out on Harris’s hit, and held Span to a single.

Bullpen
If Slowey didn’t have a penchant for the long ball I would think with his good WHIP and K rate that maybe he should be pitching the 8th inning.

Sadly, people will sue over anything.
If I were a patron of that Hooters I might sue them for false advertising by showing girls with big racks and then hiring her.

I figure if we get it up to 15, the bullpen should be able to hold it.

Very impressive. He is at just 92 pitches, they better let him crack the 100 pitch mark and go seven.

Any inning spent with the ball OUT of the bullpens’ hands is a very good thing.

Umm, what a game! THat was a malt cupper if I’ve ever seen one before…

Man...
What a great game by Slowey. For a guy who doesn’t overpower hitters, striking out 12 batters is pretty amazing.
Also, the Dick and Bert drinking game is on hiatus, after we added the stipulation of taking a shot everytime Bert says “good” when the correct grammatical usage is “well.” That was 8 shots last night including pregame. Work today is not fun at all.
