Alright Franchise
wrap this up before we go on the long road trip….
Can you beat Slowey’s 12 K performance yesterday? I hope so!!!!!
The Road trip
Really doesnt Scare me, We play 3 Dogs in Seattle, Oakland and Toronto, and then the Angels, an Angels Team that is trying to avoid being Swept by a Longoria and Crawford LEss Rays Team.
Yeah, but...
Don’t forget the last Seattle series. shiver
If we play Toronto and LAA the way we played in Seattle, this could be one ugly road trip.
totally agree
3 dogs they may be but the one nearly swept us at Safeco!!! Never underestimate a team! especially ones playing for pride!
Angels at home
will be tough and you know Torii will be up for that series…
Toronto has the kind of pitching that can shut an offense down…
I think it will be a challenge but ya’ got to believe!
I've been trying to find one
But Twins affiliates that stream online don’t stream the games. I suppose mlb wants people to pay for their radio service. Oh well. Gameday is my friend today.
WNAX
Out of Yankton South Dakota has an online Stream that does broadcast the games, just lately on the Day games, they havent been broadcasting, its worth a try. just google search WNAX and you should be able to listen in.
Better Yet, Found this nice site
http://www.thegamelive.com/baseballmlb.html
you just need a player like Real Player and Click on the Yankton SD Link.

Enjoy the game thread guys
I am off to work.
I hope to see a Twins win and good game thread when I return at 6 PM!!!!!
I can't remember what year it was
but Thomas was still w/ them and there was a series in Aug/Sept and the Twins just took it to them.
I wouldn’t mind seeing that happen one more time
I road trip worries me but I think they’ll be ok, I think that last series at the Dome may be what decides it.
Game Time
Woot!, Lets Go Boys, Frankie is on the Mound, Lets Kick Some Athletic Ass, and Go Mariners Today only!
Ellis Scores
Single by Cust, And Punto Throws the Ball like 10 Feet from Redmond. Ellis would have been out by a mile.
Nice defense

Is anyone else still floored
By how all the sudden Span can work the count in 2008 when he showed no signs of doing so throughout his minor league career?
It’s like he read Moneyball over the winter and decided this was how he was going to market himself to other teams if the Twins eventually ditched him.

Not that it ever made any sense...
…but with the way Ruiz has been swinging, how do you justify Redmond hitting 3rd?
The bad Thing
With Redmond, you know that if he hits it on the ground it’s a GDP!

Is this seriously...
the level of discourse AM 1500 is expecting people to be INTERESTED in listening to? (re: the soucheray commercial with the 6 year old “it’s funny because it’s not english — why don’t they speak english?” humor.
I;m in the minoriety onthat one
Part of it is, ‘CCO wouldn’t branch out into other markets. That was the main reason the Twins moved: If they owned the ads, they could take as many affiliates as they wanted. So there are like 50 more affiliates now than there were then. With ‘CCO I couldn’t get the signal here in Faribault even though I’m just an hour south of the cities. And, in general, I can get more signals when I’m out and about than I could get with ’CCO.
Part of it is, those ‘CCO side announcers are so full of themselves. I just can’t stand Mixe Match and Dark Star. Especially Max. For a guy with such a pronounces lisp, he sure thinks his shit doesn’t stink.

I totally missed it
They had a different commercial than the 7 they usually use? I must have tuned out… like usual.
It quoted souchery talking about some Chinese gymnast who medalled...
…whose name was Dong Dong. “Why couldn’t they have given her a real name like Mary?” or something like that. ROTFLMAO. Or not.
These Beijing Olympics are insane
ly Stupid when you really look at it, The Highlight is Michael Phelps (who is God), But you look at it, the Chinese Government is Trying to coverup the fact that their Gymnasts arent of legal age, Chinese TV is already making Doping Allegations against Phelps and Usain Bolt, Youve Got China Biased Judging in some contests, an Athlete Throws his Gold Medal over the Judging, another Dislocates his elbow in Lifting( That was a Very Scary Video), and Youve got a Silver medalist getting his Medal Thrown out for Doping..And the Guy won the medal in Pistol Shooting.
That doesn't even cover the baseball
With all the ejections, beanballs, and catchers getting plowed over.
According to Gameday
Two of the balls to Barton were in the strike zone, but again, it was according to Gameday.
Small strike zone today, too.
Gordo and Dazzle were commenting on the small zone today, and according to Gameday, they’re right.
Truthfully
It’s the sort of thing I’d smile at the first time I saw it on the TV, but to sit there “riffing” on it is just kind of embarrassing. Especially when you start questioning why they don’t have an English name. Um, because they don’t speak English. Socheray’s idea of political discourse is to really emphatically state his positio while adducing somewhere between no and minimal data to substantiate it, so I suppose I shouldn’t expect any more.
Damn it. Come on Francisco.
How do you bring up the strike zone box on Gameday?
On the ESPN gamescast
they have the strike zone box in the middle of the screen, to the right of the player stats and photos
Not Frankie's day
He’ll be lucky to get through five with the lead.

Oh man.
On gamecast’s hot zone for punto, he’s ice cold everywhere except right down the middle and high and inside.
in fact
besides those two spots, (.444 and .400 respectively) he’s batting >.200. and less than .150 anywhere that’s not on the lower left side of the plate.
I think the upper right
is the result of a small sample size, being exactly .400 and completely out of whack with the rest of it. Look at it by the end of the season, and it will look like square dartboard.
Does Punto want us to lose?

Nice start for the M's
First two hitters reach, but they fail to score. Now Dickey has faced five, all have reached, two in, bases juiced, none out. Chances of a grand slam > 50% IMHO.

6 in the 3rd inning – HBP
8 in the 5th inning – K looking.

If the Twins miss the playoffs
I would place a large amount of blame on the defense. Allowing Davis to reach on an error is like giving him a double.

The A's
They are counting on Beane being smarter than everybody else. We all know that many of the prospects they have received won’t pan out. If enough of them succeed, they will be good in a couple of years at the cost of sacrificing at least two years. If not enough of them are good, Beane will have gambled and lost big.

He seems more comfortable at short
He gets really bad jumps on balls at third, and his footwork stinks at second. So he’s best as a ss.
