For those of you already familiar with Driveline Mechanics, you understand what a coup this is for SB Nation. DM’s breakdown of Garza’s mechanics claim he’s quite the injury risk. Interesting. Of course, any pitcher is an injury risk, but Garza may be more of a risk than others…

One reason the Twins traded him...
…is his injury risk, at least that’s what I heard through the grape vine. Not only are his mechanics violent, he’s a maximum-effort pitcher, which does not bode well for longevity. He could beat the odds, of course. But he’s more likely to have a serious injury than Kevin Slowey, e.g. And he had a higher trad value last winter than any Twins pitcher not named Santana, so…
