Why the Twins Will Miss the Playoffs
Some dumb guy with a blog figures that the Twins will miss the playoffs. What a jerk...(I wrote this, by the way...)

a tad bit pessimistic
I think your logic is somewhat questionable. While it is certainly possible that the Twins miss the playoffs, your reasoning as to why is not as strong as you think. First off, it isn’t as if this team doesn’t have post season experience. Comparing the 2005 Whitesox to the 1991 Twins in an article about making it to October is at best a straw man. There are a number of guys on this Twins team with post season experience who know a thing or two about the stretch run.
Likewise, the Whitesox have an identical road record as the Twins with (at this point) an identical amount of remaining road games. They have a harder schedule and have not won a series against a .500 or better team since late June. This is not a power house team. Could they win? Absolutely. It will be a race to the wire, with that series in the dome being the deciding factor, I think.
It's gonna come down to that series at the Dome
and it’s the Twins to lose.
