I'm not sure it's the same thing...
Lee is a Cy Young pitcher, and more than anything, I think he wanted to make sure his last start wasn’t a loss or a poor outing. If he doesn’t pitch, nothing can go wrong.

In the minors he walked 5 batters per 9 innings pitched throughout his career. I don’t trust him at all. But he has yet to walk a guy in 8 innings of work at the MLB level.

Is it just me, or has Morneau’s swing looked awful lately. I’ve looked at his September stats, and tey aren’t good. I’m hoping he snaps out of it in a big way right here.
Its not just his numbers though...
His swing just doesn’t look good. He is swinging too hard. Hope he relaxes and just lets the bat do the work. That being said…he just swung at another awful pitch.

Ok, on we go, the only race undecided.
We really blew our big shot here. The Tigers don’t have much to play for tomorrow, and the White Sox get that game, and then the hypothetical playoff game both in their park.
Based on the way the Sox have been managing their staff, we’d see Danks in a hypothetical playoff game. Danks is a young lefty having a good year, but he’s just coming off a terrible outing and he’d be pitching on three days of rest in this game. Also, oddly enough, this year he’s had a reverse platoon split, so that many bode well for our lefty hitters. We’ve also hammered him all 4 times we’ve faced him this year.
But obviously, all that goes out the window on any given day.
Tomorrow Floyd is pitching against Freddy Garcia, with Floyd on 3 days of rest (their entire staff has been running on that this time through), so let’s hope it just doesn’t come to all that.
