No runs for the Indians

in the first. They got a hit, but the next pitch hit into a DP.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:11 PM EDT   0 recs

Predictions

1—Kubel, Morneau HR
2—Baker: 7 IP, 2 R, 6 K, 1 BB
3—Gomez, Span SB
4—Punto gets his uniform dirty
5—Twins win 6-2

by Jesse on Sep 28, 2008 2:11 PM EDT   0 recs

Good one!

That can replace number 4, which was sort of an obvious call anyway…

by Jesse on Sep 28, 2008 2:21 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Nice start

for Baker. He needs to go deep today and hopefully the offense won’t strand 23 runners today.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:12 PM EDT   0 recs

1-2-3 for Baker.

Let’s go, offense!

by Neil on Sep 28, 2008 2:16 PM EDT   0 recs

I'd love to see

Justin break out of his doldrums in a BIG way.

by Neil on Sep 28, 2008 2:18 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

A couple quick runs could further deflate the Sox.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

by PJS on Sep 28, 2008 2:18 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

1-0 Indians

Peralta homers in the second. No out.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:20 PM EDT   0 recs

No, Jesse

That’s good!

by Neil on Sep 28, 2008 2:22 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I just hope

Bullington does a good job for the Tribe.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:23 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

1-0 Indians

after an inning and a half.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:25 PM EDT   0 recs

Come on Morneau

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

by PJS on Sep 28, 2008 2:25 PM EDT   0 recs

Good job Morneau

If they don’t give you a pitch, don’t swing. Let’s see Kubes do some damage.

by Neil on Sep 28, 2008 2:26 PM EDT   0 recs

This inning

will set the tone for the offense IMO.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:27 PM EDT   0 recs

2 LOB

Not the way to start. Just like yesterday…

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:28 PM EDT   0 recs

Son of a %$#$@

Breathe Neil breathe….

by Neil on Sep 28, 2008 2:29 PM EDT   0 recs

1-1 in Chicago

Konerko just hit his third homerun in the past two games.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:29 PM EDT   0 recs

And then a

double for Griffey. I don’t have a good feeling about that game. Unless the Indians go crazy on offense.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:31 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

It feels like the Indians and Royals are battling for the division title

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

by PJS on Sep 28, 2008 2:30 PM EDT   0 recs

Would have been nice

if Lee didn’t pussy out. I hope Halladay win the Cy Young.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:32 PM EDT   0 recs

Lee should be out of the running for this bitch move.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

by PJS on Sep 28, 2008 2:35 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

This is silly

and Joe C. should be ashamed if he doesn’t vote for Lee because he didn’t go today. Did you complain that Grienke didn’t start for the Royals yesterday?

by Eric in Madison on Sep 28, 2008 2:37 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

I'm not sure it's the same thing...

Lee is a Cy Young pitcher, and more than anything, I think he wanted to make sure his last start wasn’t a loss or a poor outing. If he doesn’t pitch, nothing can go wrong.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:41 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

If Greinke could have went, he should have went

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

by PJS on Sep 28, 2008 2:38 PM EDT   0 recs

NICE

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

Oh, then not good.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

by PJS on Sep 28, 2008 2:43 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Yeah

They are all over Bullington in the second. He just got out of the jam.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:44 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Hopefully Duckworth's head hunting pumps up the Twins.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

by PJS on Sep 28, 2008 2:42 PM EDT   0 recs

And

hopefully the Indians can get to the White Sox bullpen early.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:45 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Is gameday's pitch tracker off

Or is the strike zone really wide?

by Neil on Sep 28, 2008 2:47 PM EDT   0 recs

DP for the Indians

after a leadoff single and a 3-1 count to the hitter.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:49 PM EDT   0 recs

Nice Span!

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

by PJS on Sep 28, 2008 2:50 PM EDT   0 recs

Casilla

has really pissed me off the past two games with his approach. Another called strike three.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:53 PM EDT   0 recs

yeah, he's gotta swing at that.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

by PJS on Sep 28, 2008 2:56 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Not as important as the playoffs, but...

Pedroia is 1-1 and hitting .326 now. Mauer is three ahead.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:55 PM EDT   0 recs

3-1 White Sox

after thee innings.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 2:56 PM EDT   0 recs

Thank you Maier

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

by PJS on Sep 28, 2008 3:03 PM EDT   0 recs

The Indians

just got two, two-out hits and then Hafner hit the first pitch he saw to left for the final out.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:04 PM EDT   0 recs

58 Pitches

for Buehrle after four.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:04 PM EDT   0 recs

I think

Mauer will lose the batting title today.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:06 PM EDT   0 recs

At least

Morneau isn’t swinging at crap so far.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:08 PM EDT   0 recs

After four

White Sox 3, Indians 1

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:08 PM EDT   0 recs

Harris

Can we finally get that big hit?

by .mnqwerd on Sep 28, 2008 3:14 PM EDT   0 recs

The Royals

helped us out again.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:15 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Lucky

We are lucky so far.

by rencito on Sep 28, 2008 3:16 PM EDT   0 recs

Tempers

The last three days have made me nearly break many things in my home…I almost threw the TV off the balcony yesterday after the 4th double play.

by rencito on Sep 28, 2008 3:17 PM EDT   0 recs

If you're having trouble conviincing a signicant other you need a new TV

…… not a bad idea!

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

by PJS on Sep 28, 2008 3:18 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Damn Punto

All weekend long we’ve been swinging at terrible pitches and watching strikes. Why have we been so bad at baseball this weekend?

by rencito on Sep 28, 2008 3:18 PM EDT   0 recs

The Indians are trying to hand the White Sox the game too. They just started something again and the guy got picked off. And the hitter had a full count and walked the next pitch.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:18 PM EDT   0 recs

Buehrle

has 80 pitches after five.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:19 PM EDT   0 recs

Why do we continue to start Gomez?

Why not Span in CF and Cuddyer in RF?

by rencito on Sep 28, 2008 3:19 PM EDT   0 recs

Gomez saves plenty of runs in CF

Also, Cuddyer is about as miserable at the plate as Gomez.

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

by PJS on Sep 28, 2008 3:20 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Gomez

I think Span is actually better. Gomez has a little better range, but Span isn’t as reckless.

Yes, Cuddyer has struggled. But you can’t be worse than Gomez. At least Cuddyer can put the ball in the air when we need it.

by rencito on Sep 28, 2008 3:22 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

De ja vu

This is reminding me of yesterday…we can’t get anything going. I think Baker is going to need a shutout today.

by rencito on Sep 28, 2008 3:20 PM EDT   0 recs

Cuddyer?

He’s clearly not in baseball shape. plus Gomez has had some big hits lately if you havent noticed. Not to mention the defensive advantages

by .mnqwerd on Sep 28, 2008 3:21 PM EDT   0 recs

He's

actually a huge reason we swept the White Sox.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:22 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

How bout some glass half full ...

It is 2-0 Twins, right?

Gentlemen, you can't fight in here! This is the War Room.

by PJS on Sep 28, 2008 3:23 PM EDT   0 recs

It is just frustrating...

…watching Casilla and Gomez swing at pitches that aren’t even close to being strikes.

by rencito on Sep 28, 2008 3:24 PM EDT   0 recs

I do LOVE...

Scott Baker.

by rencito on Sep 28, 2008 3:26 PM EDT   0 recs

Wish he could start again

on Tuesday if we have to play it.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:28 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

Heh...

…yeah, me too. Unfortunately, I don’t think the success rate is very high on one day rest. :)

by rencito on Sep 28, 2008 3:30 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

3-1 White Sox

after four. Cleveland has more hits, but can’t get them in.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:27 PM EDT   0 recs

3-1

After five I believe

by .mnqwerd on Sep 28, 2008 3:28 PM EDT   0 recs

Yep

Cleveland is leaving their runners on and making stupid plays. Hopefully they can score some and take the lead. Buehrle has 80 pitches heading to the sixth.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:29 PM EDT to parent up   0 recs

top of 6

In Chicago…one runner on no one out for cleveland

by rencito on Sep 28, 2008 3:29 PM EDT   0 recs

Another DP

for the Indians. They keep shotting themselves in the foot.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:31 PM EDT   0 recs

Indians

with another single and Peralta goes to second on an error. To bad they hit into a DP.

by Twins Territory on Sep 28, 2008 3:32 PM EDT   0 recs

Go Garko

PLEASE!!!??

by rencito on Sep 28, 2008 3:33 PM EDT   0 recs

Damnit

Fly out

by rencito on Sep 28, 2008 3:33 PM EDT   0 recs

Win Twins!

Come on guys get more runs, Baker please keep pitching well

by caluofmn on Sep 28, 2008 3:39 PM EDT   0 recs

Baker strikes out the side

We gotta get some runs

by .mnqwerd on Sep 28, 2008 3:41 PM EDT   0 recs

Baker

Is dominating. Too bad the margin of error is razor thin for him since the Twins suck at the plate.

by rencito on Sep 28, 2008 3:42 PM EDT   0 recs

side note

Pedroia is batting now, Mauer leading .328-.326
