Will this be Bert's Year? (poll)
The National Baseball Hall of Fame will announce the 2009 inductees on Monday at 12:30 Central time, live on the MLB Network and on MLB.com. Last year, Bert Blyleven got 61.9% of the vote, a personal best for the righty but well short of the 75% needed for induction.
I think most of us believe that Blyleven belongs in the Hall, and that's not just because he's the team's kooky color announcer. So here's the poll question: do you think Bert will get in this year?

I voted no
but I believe he deserves to be in…. I mean 60 Shut outs and 3rd all time in k’s at retirement. come on!
No, but he'll
eclipse 65%, and be on track for induction over the next couple of years.
He’s obviously deserving—it’s mystifying that it’s taking so long. Much more qualified than Jim Rice, who’s going to get in.

Isn't this like, his last year of Eligibility?
I heard somewhere that this is his last year before it has to go to the senior committee?
Nope
I think this is his 12th year on the ballot—unless you drop off for lack of support, you stay on for 15 years. This is Rice’s last year on the ballot, however.
