Twins add Morillo to 40 man
I expected this. Also, they took Armando Gabino and Justin Huber off the 40-man. Gabino was claimed by Baltimore and Huber cleared waivers.

Hmmm?
To sum up, as I understand things so far:
1. Buscher released. One spot opens up.
2. Hardy for Gomez. No net change.
3. Morillo added, Huber, Gabino removed. Another spot opens.
Any ideas why we’ve opened two spots? Are we looking to add and protect others in the near future?
No more Gabino crime family

Morillo
Why add to the 40 man? I can’t see anyone claiming him. Sure he throw in the 90’s. Still can’t hit the side of a barn.
He would get taken in the Rule 5 and kept all year by some team
Guys who throw in the upper 90s are really rare. Even with 51 walks in Rochester, he still managed a FIP of 3.13. He can help as the 7th pitcher on the staff, and give the Twins the opportunity to use a reliever in a trade. Or he can be trade bait himself.

Great point, CMath...
I like that we’re keeping him.
The Twins have too many "prototypical Twins pitchers"
THe more variety you have, the harder it is for the opposition to get comfortable.
