Twinkie Town 2010 Top 50...Voting for Prospect Number 9!

What an amazing turnout for our Eighth best prospect, as 175 votes were cast with 51% (90) going to the Twins Minor League Pitcher of the Year, David Bromberg.  Congratulations David.  Rene Tosoni was a distant second with 13% (24), while everyone except Estarlin De Los Santos was at or above 5%.

We are now entering an exciting phase of our Top 50 as there are many players who should gain support as we close out our top ten.  As indicated, De Los Santos will be the only player not appearing in the next round.  Added to contention for the Ninth best prospect will be two players we are bringing back from prior rounds, former first round pick Carlos Gutierrez and GCL Twins star pitcher Adrian Salcedo

With many of the better known prospects in the organization already selected, it is more important than ever that you give us your preferences for players to be added to future rounds.  This is a great group.  Considering that six of them will be in the second ten, the organization's depth appears to be stronger than ever.

And thanks again for the wonderful turnout with 175 readers voting in this round.

Star-divide

The selections for the first eight rounds were:  1) Miguel Jean; 2) Aaron Hicks; 3) Wilson Ramos; 4) Kyle Gibson;  5) Ben Revere; 6) Danny Valencia; 7) Angel Morales; and 8) David Bromberg.

Sorry about that...

…the first time I posted this, the poll got lost in cyber-space!

Opps,

…Also forgot to mention that tomorrow’s poll may be posted later than 3pm. The Bride and I are going to a movie tomorrow afternoon, just don’t know what time. Should be up by 6 or 7pm at the latest.

Tough round here as several names should be selected…Tosoni is who I went with. I would follow him up with Guerra, Kepler, Guttierez, and then Benson.

tough one here, yes

it was between Parmelee, Gutierrez and probably Tosoni for me

with Guerra and Benson on the horizon….

Any factual evidence at all towards this rumor?

Carlos Carrasco, Alex White along with Tanner Scheppers to the Twins
Glen Perkins and Beau Mills to the Rangers
Francisco Liriano and the rights to Boof Bonser + a PTBL to the Indians

(will Smoak and Feliz go to Fla. for Josh Johnson?)

Guerra has a high ceiling still.

but Parmelee has got 40 HR power. Will he hit for any avg?

looks like 4 of's

and 4 starting pitcher, is it time for Rams-C, Slama,Burnett,Delaney-RP, infield-R Santana?

Burnett

If he was here, I might have voted for him. Thinking about it more, I wish I had voted for Salcedo over Parmalee. Oh well.

I'm just going on a few things I've read

But I went Salcedo, and he seems as though he has almost as much upside as any pitcher.
Kind of comparable to voting for high upside-low experience batters.

Is it easier to project pitchers or hitters at an early age?

Discounting my daily ebb and flow between young high upsiders and older polished guys, I would have gone Tosoni.
