A total surprise? Not really. But a bit of one, to be sure.

I guess this means they're not counting pennies this year.

not sure why this was a surprise
that’s just me… even the guys that are redundant have enough value to trade.

True, in theory.
In practise it can work a little differently. It’s not always easy to trade a guy like Harris (or Bonser). The reality is that with some of these guys, their value is tied up in the fact that they have a spot with the Twins. Different teams, different circumstances, idential player profiles around the league…there’s a lot that goes into it. You said it yourself—some of these guys are a little redundant. That in itself implies a lack of value.
I'd say that the big key is Neshek...
If he’s back and healthy/effective this year, then the Twins should be trading one of Crain/Rauch, preferably Crain. Because Slama needs a shot real soon, and there are plenty of options for a long man in the pen.
There will be injuries and demotions, they will both get their shots soon.
"I couldn't do that. Could you do that? Why can they do it? Who are those guys?"
Harris
Is the one I am most suprised by.
If we don’t upgrade at 3rd base, expect to see him there a lot.
Crain
I think if we see end of the season jesse crain then were golden, but if start of the season jesse crain shows up he needs to get out of minnie and go chill with JC Romero
