Twinkie Town 2010 Top 50...Voting for Prospect Number 22!

In the run-off voting for Prospect Number 20, Tyler Robertson gained 51 of the 89 votes cast (57%) to win the 20th spot in this year's voting. Billy Bullock had 38 votes (42%), earning the 21st spot in the poll. Congratulations to both Tyler and Billy.

All six of the other players from the last round will be included in this round. The two additions will be Danny Rams, who is returning from an earlier round, and a member of my personal Top Twenty, Cesar Ciurcina.

Rams, 20, is a power hitting catcher who was the Twins second round pick out of Miami's Gulliver Prep in 2007. After two somewhat disappointing seasons, Rams began to be the player the Twins think he can be by hitting .355/.444/.790 with 6 home runs in 62 at bats for Elizabethton early last year. That performance earned him a promotion to Beloit where he hit .229/.308/.429 with 7 home runs in 175 at bats. Cesar Ciurcina, 18, was the runner-up DSL Twins top starter in 2009. With numbers (9-2, 1.39ERA, 0.69WHIP, 84.0ip, 72K/8BB) similar to what Adrian Salcedo had a year earlier. Ciurcina appears to be another young starter who just may have front of the rotation potential.

Your suggestions for players to be added to future rounds will be appreciated.
