Twinkie Town 2010 Top 50...Run-off Voting for Prospect Number 24!

In what is becomming the norm, we will have a run-off for the 24th Top Prospect.  With 115 votes cast, Rob Delaney had 30 votes (26%) with Michael McCardell only two votes behind with 24%.  The winner of the run-off will be our 24th Top Prospect with the loser rounding out the Top 25.

In what I believe is a first, all of the players in the last round had over 5% and will appear in the next round tomorrow.  I am tentatively planning on adding Steve Tolleson, who is on the 40-man roster, and this past summer's supplemental round draft pick, Matt Bashore.  Please leave your suggestions for others in the comment section.

I like Tolleson and Bashore for the next two

Me too

A little surprised by the gap currently. McCardell seems like the next in line of the Blackburn/Duensing/Swarzak/Manship pipeline.

I want to believe in Delaney and Slama, but when you see how aggressively relievers like Mijiares and Neshek were moved through the system, it can’t say much that neither one of them were promoted anytime last season.

I'm with McCardell

I’m more concerned with Delaney’s declining peripherals at AAA. K/BB went down, HR rate went up. Looks more like Bobby Korecky than Jesse Crain.

agree...

although, I would say better than Korecky, but certainly no Jesse Crain.

Neshek?

was 26 when he debuted… he was blocked by Korecky, in part.

?

They both started at AA and moved to AAA and did well at Rochester. Could the fact that the 40 man roster was filled kept them from a call-up?

McCardell

in a pretty easy vote, for me.

Easy for me also

If Delaney was in another organization and Bill Smith traded McCardell to get him I’d be pissed.
