I don't really buy it, it's not very feasible on many levels but it would sure make the Twins a legit contender.

Yeah, I would say that’s far-fetched too, considering the Marlins just said he wouldn’t be traded this off-season. Sure, it could be posturing, but right now I doubt it.

I just dont’ see the room on the payroll unless the Twins were to also trade Cuddyer away. He’s the only player that would be expendable only because a corner outfielder would be easier to replace and Uggla would make up for Cuddyer not being in the lineup. It would look pretty amazing but it’s just not very realistic unless payroll predictions were low.

I meant the Twins would deal Cuddyer in a different trade. No, I realize the Marlins wouldn’t want to touch Cuddy’s contract.

I've heard before that GMs are constantly working on trades that don't ever come close to getting done

I’m guessing this is where thrylos gets his rumors – guys working for the clubs probably tell him about some trade that was unlikely from the start. It likely never reaches the level of an actual proposed trade, more like one GM tossing trade ideas to another GM. Then thrylos reports it as if the trade is pending and almost done.
