What WAS the BEST Twins Game of 2008?

The Twins played the Chicago White Sox on 9-25-08 and had a rough going at the beginning of the game.  Kevin Slowey was pitching well, but got injured during the game and left leaving the Twins down 6-1.

The Twins slowly came back and Denard Span Tied the game in the 8th with a Triple to score Carlos Gomez.

Alexi Casilla lined to center to win the game with a walk-off single in the tenth!

In my opinion, by far the best game of 2008!

Um, maybe the title should read:

What was the best game of 2008?

I have the kind of mind that likes things tidy.

KC

How about the time that the twins came back down 5 in the 9th against the Royals. Craig Monroe was the hero of that game.

The 9-25-08 game

is my favorite baseball game of all time. It gives my goosebumps just thinking about it.

But coming back against Papelbon

in the 9th for 2 runs with a super clutch Mike Lamb bloop single ranks up there with the best of them. I don’t know the date, it was fairly early in the season though, June maybe?

I was at...

…that game. The place blew up and to see papelbon lose the save was amazing. It is always nice to take down the “then world champions”. Great game!

Oh and how could I forget....

Alexi Casilla 3 run shot over the Baggy…
Mauer Game tying single in the 9th
Bobby Korecki Clutch single and 2 innings of work…
and our hero
Howie Clark with a rope to center to win it.

That was the craziest game I’ve ever seen. If it was against anyone but the rangers, it would have to be up there with the best of all time.

It's funny

Four of the most memorable games were decided by guys who are no longer with the Twins: Howie Clark, Craig Monroe, Bobby Korecky and Mike Lamb.
