Is he driving the ball with authority
or grounding a bunch of balls up the middle and through the right side? I want to see Delmon start driving the ball with authority. If not 20+ HR, at least 35-40 doubles with 15-20 HR.

A little of both
He’s hit a lot of liners on one hop to the center fielder and a few booming doubles. He’s still taking everything up the middle, but he’s has a wider stance and he’s lower so he can use his legs more. Last year he stood straight up and chopped at the ball, hardly using his legs at all.

Good signs
If he’s changed his stance and can now use his legs to generate power, I’m cautiously optimistic.
Imagine if he actually started using his legs in the field…
