Go Go goes
two run double for Gomez, Slowey gets out of a bases loaded jam by striking out Puhols and a terrific stab by Buscher for the the final out.

It’s always an adventure with a flyball pitcher. At least we are still ahead for the moment.

Well Slowey had a good day at least,
I am not watching it, but I have it on the radio and it sounds like Slowey had a pretty good day overall. G & G said it was really good other than the one mistake to ankiel.
Final line was 6 innings, 8 hits, 2 runs no walks and 5 strikeouts. Not bad.

Dickey
What do you guys feel about the knuckleballer Dickey? He just pitched a good inning.
he hasn't had a very good career to date,
but he has been having a pretty good Spring. Spring era of 2.63 but over what 10 or 12 innings?
In his career he is averaging an era of 5.57 over 300+ innings.
I think that his only chance is if Anderson, and other coaches/scouts are seeing something significant that suggests some improvement under Anderson’s coaching…

you would likely generate a few comments from people who have some good opinions on Dickey, or on the pitching staff in general as we are getting closer to having to make a decision.

That reminds me
watching Mijares reminds me of the old joke where the agent is negotiating with owner, “Sure the kid is a great pitcher. No matter where the other player holds his bat, he manages to hit it.”
I really hope he gets sent to Rochester to play himself back into shape.

I was at the game today. It was pretty cool. Also really wet. Gomez was good. Slowey was great. Just a great day. That is all.
