POLL: How will the Twins finish 2009?

The Minnesota Twins finished last year in Chicago missing the playoffs by a play-in game.  Many thought the Twins deserved the playoff spot instead of the Chi-Sox, but nothing can be done about it now.  The Twins have virtually the same roster plus the nice aquisition of Joe Crede at third base.  Justin Morneau, Joe Mauer, and Joe Nathan are only getting better, and a young staff of starting pitchers are starting to gain confidence.  Can the Twins do as well as they did last year; better?

Wild card will be AL East

Whoever ends up second between TB, Boston and NY, most likely.

World Series Winner all the way!

Maybe I should have been a Yankees fan but I go into every year expecting them to win it all and cheer them on until the game they finally prove me wrong, except the two years they didn’t. That is a lot better tha the rest on the Minnesota sports teams I follow, which have never proven me wrong. Plan the parade now.

Bunch of Homers

And you can count me as one of them. Although I don’t see a World Series team this year, I do see us winning our first playoff series since 2002.

And its not funny that no one thinks we’ll take the wild card. I’ll bet your 6-pack of Premium against my house that the wild card comes out of the East. Again.

I am soooo looking forward to the last year in the Dome. Although I’ll miss seeing opening day in the Cities (MLB should know better than to schedule an outdoor game in MN the 1st week of April), I will not miss flying in from Texas just to watch a game on carpet.

Win Twins!

Debating whether or not to buy MLB Ticket this year.

Do the masses really think the Twins will compete? I don’t see our offense improving. It will be nice to have Franchise for the full year (knock on wood). I’m struggling with this and need a good argument to convince the lady.

You should get it

I’m expecting this year to be really exciting, more so than usual. We have so many guys in their second and third year, it’s going to be a lot of fun to see how they develop this year. We may not win the division (looks really tight this year), but I do expect a lot of excitement.

Pessimistic.

I chose missing the playoffs in hopes that I am wrong. They will probably be second again though.
