Roylas Review visit

I stopped by the Royals Review to ask a question about a player.  Got a lot a flack from a guy about being a Twins fan.  I would ask that everyone sometime during the series with the Royals just stop by there and say Hi.  These guys are pumped about there Royals.  And need a little "pickin on".

The Royals were beating Toronto 11-2 when I stopped in so you can imagine what they were saying about the future of the team. And how they are looking forward to the series with the Twins.

Not everyone can be a class act or a good sport.

Sad but true.

The Royals are who they are. Right now they’re a whole half game better than the Twins, which really doesn’t mean anything. And I’m sure the fan who was giving you flack has somehow forgotten how hideous the Royals have been over the span of recent memory.

But I do think Kansas City has its merits. They have some good players, but I’m still not sure who they’ll finish in front of in this division if anyone. It’s just an opinion.

Bottom line—-The dumbest thing someone can do is give someone else flack for simply being a fan of one team or another. Who cares who you cheer for? Being a Royals fan isn’t any better than being a Twins fan, and being a Twins fan is no better than being a White Sox fan. I think the whole situation amounts to a big fat “who cares”.

From my experience, a vast majority of Royal Review readers and contributors are good sports, and great fans.

I agree with you. I check into that site most days. They have a decent stable of writers and the comments sections are fun to read sometimes.

Please no

While I understand the compulsion to fire back if you were mistreated over there, the last thing we need is to start an inter-forum pissing contest. I’d rather not see this place fill up with trolls from other boards.

Most of the visitors we’ve had here have been really well-behaved, and I think we’ve generally responded in kind; it’s unfortunate that can’t happen everywhere. I’d be ticked if people came on here talking trash about the Twins, so I don’t particularly like the idea of us doing it, whether or not it’s deserved.

We do have the most respectful commenters here

For the most part, trolls are rare around here. That’s in contrast to other SB Nation blogs. I’d like to keep it that way, which means not inciting them to come over here.

Go KC

Those guys have suffered long enough. My hat’s off to anyone who’s stuck with them all this time, so god bless them. I’d save my wrath for a rich team. I’d love to see KC have a good year, personally. As long as they’re not ahead of the Twins.

I stopped in on the DRaysbay last night to give them a ribbing and they took it completely in stride.

I have checked their blog on and off and Chicago’s as well. Both sites are well run and well moderated by their main writers/editers, just like ours is. Chicago and Tampa have a rowdier, "foul"er crowd overall, but they also have a group that far exceeds ours in number and so are likelier to pick up a bad apple or two.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying

I dont want to start a war….just want some passionate discussion on our teams. But I also want them to know WE are here. And we are Twins fans!! Go twins!
