Felix Hernandez goes for the Mariners, Francisco Liriano for the Twins. Ken Griffey Jr. is starting in right field for Seattle, as Ichiro is on the disabled list with a bleeding ulcer. Mike Sweeney is expected to be the Mariners' DH, and should be on the disabled list by the fourth inning or so.

They actually look pretty sharp. I kinda wish they didn’t cost $5,000 or whatever at the pro shop, though.

I've been debating whether or not to get the MLB Ticket (I live outstate)
But I’m leaning against it if Cuddyer is going to hit in the 3-hole and strike out in miserable fashion every at bat!

The Twins have always been in love with Cuddyer.
Anyone remember the ALDS, not sure what year against Oakland, when Cuddyer had just come up from the minors late in the year and Gardy immediately inserted him in the cleanup spot?

Cuddyer struck out, unless my memory fails me, 83 times in the first two games of the ALDS before Gardy finally put Dustan Mohr back in the lineup.

Shouldn't be so dissapointed having to face Felix Hernandez
but that first inning had me hopeful that Felix would have a down night. He isnt nicknamed the king for nothing, ya know. If he doesn’t blow out his anus he’sgunna be the pitcher that we all hoped Lirianq was gunna be before the surgery.

having had to turn on the radio here and get a feed out of WA state. I want you all to know that the Mariners center fielder does not have a name that it pronounced like most other hipanics… it is not pronounced Guttearez, according to the Mariners announcers it is pronounced Gute-eee-air-uz.

I hate to complain so early on but...
I just didn’t see the logic in bringing in Breslow to face Griffey. In the end, it neccesitated emptying the bullpen to get one out (which didn’t happen anyway). HMMMM!

I think it’s safe to say we regressed to the mean with RISP all in this game.
Bullpen was craptastic, which I suspect will be our biggest issue this year.
Not putting too much into one game though. Let’s see how we do tomorrow…
