As I said in the game thread, this Twins Lineup was top heavy.  WIth Jason Kubel being scratched pregame with a swollen knee, Michael Cuddyer was asked to step up into the cleanup spot.  After him was a paltry collection of .700 OPS and .500 OPS hitters.

But the top of the lineup delivered, with hitters 1-4 delivering 10 RBI between them.

Oh, and right, maybe you heard, Michael Cuddyer hit for the cycle.

We as bloggers like to complain when "traditional" media derides us for whatever, but there are times when skill and training help.  And we are blessed to have a man capable of such covering in La Velle E Niel III

Cuddy!

I left the apartment when he had a homer, single and a double and the thought of a cycle did cross my mind, but when I later checked a computer, it was a pleasant surprise. 2 cycles in one season so far, and 3 cycles in 2 seasons, how rare of on occurrence is this?

Anyways, way to go cuddy! to think, we suggested trading you at some point

This should be closer to the top of the page.

I came to this sight to see the cycle coverage and has to scroll down for what seemed like ages!

Sorry

My bad. We had two features on top of the game recap. It’s kind of a limitation in the site design. When you only have one pane to work woth, it limits how much content you can publish in a day.

One fix

I split up the Minor League Report into two panes. That should help with the scrolling issue.

Agreed

Roger does a GREAT job of the Minor League Report, but it is so long it really needs to be split up all of the time.
