I don't want to talk about it

Yeah...
…I’d rather take Hawkins and use him as Nathan’s set-up man. Generally he accels in that role.

Murphy's Law
I don’t know… while I think Hawkins would be a nice upgrade in the set-up role, there’s a possibility here that scares me: After the trade goes through, Joe Nathan is injured. The Twins, as most teams would do, turn to their newly-acquired 8th-inning guy to take over the closer role.

Unrelated tidbit – LaTroy Hawkins is the only player I’ve seen thrown out of a major league game in person. The umpire asked him to move his chair in the bullpen, and he refused (or else he moved it, then moved it right back to the same spot; I can’t remember for sure), so the ump tossed him. He didn’t even play in the game.

Rumor was the Astros were thinking of using him as their closer when their real closer went down
no idea if it happened, I don’t really stay on top of my Astros news

I don't think Charlie has any more inside info than me ...
but I’d welcome LaTroy. Gotta be an improvement. Can he play 2nd and hit in the 2 hole?

Well Walters Last Month Said early one week that according to His Sources that Brett Favre was going to have arthroscopic shoulder surgery later that week...
And a month later…we find out that Walters was true…

I think at this point the risk
is worth it. If he he pitches better than Crain, we win. He does have stank on the ball. He always did. He just struggled with control, and wanted more money than we were willing to pay him when he left.
If Ozzie Guillen likes Punto that much, I vote we send him down to Chicago. Punto and Guillen deserve each other.
