I'm a little dissapointed

that he did not get Sportsman of the Year. I do not blame Sports Illistrated for this though, I blame Joe Mauer.

If Ozzie Guillen likes Punto that much, I vote we send him down to Chicago. Punto and Guillen deserve each other.

Mauer doesn’t REALLY deserve this. If he’s so good, hitting .407, where’s the other .593? Somebody scrappier like Darrin Erstad should have this honor so I can feel like even I, with my no athletic talent, can become an overrated and rich major leaguer.

Sometimes he swings and doesn't even hit the ball.

It always let me down, well he is just a catcher.

A player like Joe Mauer comes along once in a generation for your team… if you’re lucky. As a lifetime Twins fan, I certainly feel incredibly lucky that he’s ours.
