Not really related to this
but maybe indirectly..I am wondering why we recalled Morales. I like the PH’ing and all, but unless I am wrong, he has not CAUGHT a game since being called up. I know Redman has grit and whatnot, but seriously..
I guess indirectly because if we option Tolbert down, bring up Casilla, that leaves our bullpen one short. I already heard that we will be bringing up another arm, which means we have to send someone else down, so who would that be? Unless Slowey goes to the DL, is it Morales? I hope not. But honestly, if we are not going to play him, what the hell are we doing?
Sorry if I sound bitter, just frustrated with some things..
Baseball is the soundtrack to my summer.
I think Morales caught 7/4
vs Detroit and Mauer DH’d, but it’s rare he catches a game. That’s the problem being the 3rd catcher when the 1st is Joe Mauer. Personally, I’d like to see him play more.
As far as Casilla goes, I’m happy Tolbert’s going down, but is Casilla really the answer for 2nd base? Not much of a change either way.

at least Casilla has done something in the bigs.
I am not saying I expect Casilla to do what he did last year, but Tolbert has never done anything in the Bigs. I will be cheering for Casilla, because he has the potential to make a big difference on this team. If anything, I think he will make the game more fun for Gomez. It will be nice to see Gomez with a smile on his face more often. As my girlfriend says, “Gomez and Casilla are so cute together.”

Casilla will never get the #2 spot back
unless it shakes out like this with Harris getting a day off…
1. Span – LF
2. Casilla – 2B
3. Morneau – 1B
4. Kubel – DH
5. Cuddyer – RF
6. Crede – 3B
7. Redmond – C
8. Gomez – CF
9. Punto – SS
The revolving door of futility infielders continues
At least we have Crede. Hey he’s hitting 30 points higher than anyone else on the infield (excluding 1b) and he can hit those bombs (and two singles per week).

It was said on Sunday's telecast
That there was going to be another pitcher added by the time play resumes this week. So all of you JUST WAIT.
