Twins bloggers on the Rangers
The Dallas Morning News Rangers blog polled Aaron Gleeman, Nick Nelson, and me about the upcoming series. Aaron and Nick made good points. I made jokes.

I especially
liked the part about Nick Punto. Thank you for representing our feelings! Bravo!

My other fav quote
was, “For the past ten years, I would guess that the average Rangers game has ended 11-9 in favor of one team or the other.”
So true, and also funny.
One thing I have stuck in my craw-Vicente Padilla. For some reason, he seems to pitch really well against us. I have strong memories of this guy not looking all that extraordinary, but making us look like a team of LNP’s.

You and I have a different definition of "calm"
Nathan is constantly pumping himself up on the mound, sometimes literally it seems judging by how hard he exhales. He doesn’t get rattled but he sure likes his adrenaline highs.
But he's not going nuts out there.
He’s not pointing at the sky or pumping his arms or pounding his fist into his mitt or screaming at infielders. I’m not saying you can’t be successful doing this, I just think that being controlled is the way to go.

Papplebon is
the most annoying closer out there. K-Rod is bearable, but Pappy is so completely annoying. I find myself wanting to punch him in the face at least 2 or 3 times a day, whether or not I see him pitch in a game.
