Twins bullpen
R.A. Dickey and Matt Guirrer have become our two set-up guys this season. I think that if the twins could find a way to get another middle releaver they would give these two guys more break allowing them to be more fresh every time they come into a game. I also feel that this would keep our bullpen fresh for the playoffs if we make them...
This is completel disregarding our amazing coser Joe Nathan

Not what we are used to...
But is it really worse than average?
Reliever ERA of 3.66 is 4th in the AL (BOS/TB/SEA)
Reliever BAA is 6th (NYY/BOS/TB/OAK/SEA)
Reliever BB is 2nd-best (TB)
I think we got spoiled with the amazing bullpens of 2004-2006. Remember when we thought JCRomero was awful and booed him out of town?

LOL @ Dickey as setup man
Look at his July numbers. He’s back to being Dickey!!

Gurrier and Majares are the set-up men.
Dickey played the part for a few games in July when we were an arm short, but God willing will not be made to be a set up man in the future.
Also, are you Charlie Walters?

Dickey should never be brought in with men on base
Last night he stretched his league leadership in allowing inherited runners to score.

True...
But it was pretty impressive of him to give up a walk-off homer without being the losing pitcher. That’s almost as great as the guy a couple weeks ago who picked up a win without throwing a pitch.

No fan of Dickey
Although I give him credit for being wayyyyy better than I thought he would be.
As for that game, after you’ve trotted out four other relievers and you’re in the 12th inning, you don’t call on Nathan. Gardy had little choice. The worst thing about that game was scoring 3 runs in 12 innings off that Texas pitching staff.
