The Shopping List
Which aisle do you visit first?
Think of the trade deadline as a massive outdoor market where you have to bid for what you want. And there's only one of each item. Freddy Sanchez was just sitting there behind the table, as a Pirate bartered with a Giant and a pair of Twins. The Giant won. Sanchez shrugged, got up off his pillow and went to take a nap on the Giant's shoulder.
Running through the rest of the shopping list, where are you going first? This is my list, and I'm hoping it's fairly comprehensive of the names the Twins have been linked to over the last week.
Freddy Sanchez- Marco Scutaro
- Mike Wuertz
George Sherrill
Guys like Adam Kennedy, Scott Downs, Jason Frasor and Brandon League are all intriguing, but their links to the Twins have been more speculation than fact. Who comes out on the top of your shopping list?

Which Isle do I visit first?
Tahiti sounds nice…maybe Hawaii.
Oh, you meant aisle? I like your list. Scutaro is probably the best available option right now of those guys that might be available.

Haha...sorry...
…I can’t stand it when I spell things incorrectly. Then I get emabarassed and have to change so they’re right. It’s a thing.

Marco
I would really like to have Scutaro. He’d be a nice asset

hmm
i think if scutaro can be had (relatively) cheaply, he is a nice option. he can play a lot of positions, he is having a career year (so he’ll fit right in with all of our guys having career years :), and he will net a draft pick if/when he leaves.
however, i REALLY like wuertz and i am willing to admit it is partially b/c he could bring his own cheering section to the ballpark every game. outside of that, he has nice numbers and isn’t a free agent until after 2011. he’s on the top of my list.

of course, all of those pluses for wuertz are why he likely won’t get traded at all (minus the MN fanbase…i don’t think billy beane is interested in that particular upside)

Sounds like it.
We haven’t heard much on his front recently anyway. I’m still rooting for Scutaro, although the Jays are still saying they need to deal Halladay first.

Some of them never had a prime

Grabow to...
The Cubs.
It appears they are in the process of finalizing a deal. Not sure what they had to give up to get him at this point.

both names
make me nervous..Scutaro and Wuertz..but it would be nice to get a MI everyday player like Scutaro I guess; Kennedy would be an option too…I’m becoming more confident the FO will do nothing…I would be delighted to be wrong!

Sounds like Dodgers are interested in Jason Frasor
