Comments
once we go over 300 or 350
things start slowing down. so the general rule is to break out an overflow thread around 300 comments to keep things running smoothly.
It would be helpful if you could add a link to the bottom of the previous thread...
Not a huge deal, but makes things more readable.
The Dickey > The Yankees
Also, since we got young Gardy in the last thread, here’s a pre-beard RA Dickey

Kubel: K'd
ON A DISGUSTING PITCH IN THE DIRT.
Massive, massive let down right there. That sucked, Jason.
We're still only in the 7th?
I’ll be back at 8 pm to see the 9th.

Phil Hughes
Is he still on track to be the best pitcher in the history of the world, or is he a bust?
Wow.
Strikeouts are boring - besides that, they're fascist. Throw some ground balls. More democratic. -Bull Durham
I suppose it was,
since Morneau didn’t HAVE to advance. And when he had that late start, maybe he shouldn’t have gone.
Showing highlights of “Home Depot Defense” throughout the series…why is Gomez not playing?! I know this has been covered, but seriously.

So they can fit Kubel into the lineup, since Mauer is DH'ing.
Given the options and the fact that Joe can’t catch every single day, I’m not as opposed to this as I usually would be. Most days I’d like a Span-Gomez-Cuddyer OF though, with Kubel DHing.
OK, now let's get a few runs boys!

AA
They’ve got Hughes in AA now to make room for Valencia…
Is that right or was AA just rehab for Hughes?
That looked like a strike...

Nice job Guerrier.
Three outs, two runs.
Against Rivera.
This will need to be a battle if we want to win.
I hope someone off the bench hits here
Because having a Span sandwich between two pieces of Mendoza bread isn’t too appetizing.
When will Rivera reveal the pact he has made with the devil.
Somebody test that guy for steroids already.

0-7 against the Yankees this year...
Ugh… you’d think we could eek out a game or two by accident or something…

Twins = sellers
Really. Stop fooling ourselves even if we squeaked out an AL Central win we are going NOWHERE fast in the first round.
I have no idea who we could sell or for what, but lets not throw away any money on this season.
Getting past the first round...
Eh… I’m glad they didn’t sell in July of 87 figuring they’d never beat the AL East winner.
Who would they even sell? Crede, Harris, Dickey, Guerrier, Ayala… I don’t think they’d touch Cuddyer or Nathan.
OH Crap!
I just got back to my desk from watching the final inning of the game and there was a broom sitting in my cube. Thanks Twins for making this work so difficult for me.
