Gabino Time
Swarzak sent back to make a start or two before the Rochester season ends.
Armando Gabino, added to the 40-man this past winter, gets the latest call and will start on Tuesday for the Twins.
He'll celebrate his 26th birthday on August 31st.
His 7th year in baseball, he was signed as a minor league Rule 5 draftee in 2004 and pitched for Elizabethton in 2005-06, Beloit in 2006-07, plus stints at Ft. Myers and New Brit before settling in with New Brit in 2008. Largely a long-relief guy, he recently entered the starting rotation at Rochester, coming off a great last start. Not a lot of hits, not alot of K's. But so far is 5-3 with a 2.83 ERA and holding hitters to a .217 average.
We'll see him start on Tuesday against the Orioles!

Everything but the kitchen sink
We’re trying to win the division with a AAA pitching staff. Who’d of thunk it?
Then again, last time we won the division, Boof Bonser was a #2.

I was just thinking the other day
that the idea of Boof being healthy is getting me excited for next year.
I mean…that’s CRAZY right? Our rotation has been SO BAD that I am actually EXCITED to see BOOF BONSER. I need to lie down.
People ask me what I do in winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring. ~Rogers Hornsby

I've been wondering
I have thought that absence will make many people’s heart grow fonder for Boof. He’s is better than several guys in the bullpen and probably better than a couple in the starting rotation. That is, of course, if he comes back 100%. Given the Twins’ pitching struggles this year, I am sure that they have abandoned any thought of DFAing Boof (if they had any).

Hey......
Boof! Boof! Boof!
And Humber!
Maybe the Twins can swing a deal with Seattle for Silva!
Amazingly, Washburn hasn’t been pitching great for the Tigers.

Boof will be Back!
No DFA, I’m sure., Even though will be interesting to see arbitration salaries for Boof and Neshek ($800,000…the price of your absic 16-year-old German outfielder, perhaps?)
