In our most recent run-off, Estarlin De Los Santos received 42 of the 80 votes cast (52%) to win the 34th spot in this year's poll.  Steve Singleton received 38 votes (47%) as our 35th prospect.  Congratulations to Estarlin and Steve.

Three players will be added to the next round.  One of this past summer's big International signees, Jorge Polanco will return along with two veteran minor league players who were invited to spring training yesterday, Kyle Waldrop and Brock Peterson. 

Polanco has been discussed at length, here and elsewhere, as a top level prospect who is known as a great defensive player.  Kyle Waldrop was one of the Twins fast rising young starters after being drafted in the first round several years ago.  Coming off a serious injury which cost him an entire year, Waldrop began last year in Ft. Myers before becoming one of the best middle relievers in the Eastern League.  With his injury another year behind him, Kyle just may make a move to join the Twins sometime this coming summer.  Brock Peterson is a young man who continues to chase his dream.  A former 49th round pick, Peterson made it to AAA last spring.  He didn't play a lot the first two months of the season, then was Rochester's best hitter the last three months of the year.  Look for Brock to have another good spring training which should put him on the Twin's radar should they need a right handed bat later in the year.
