Twinkie Town 2010 Top 50...Voting for Prospect Number 40!

In our run-off for the 38th ranked prospect, middle infielder Steven Tolleson collected 49 of the 89 votes cast to win the 38th spot in this year's Top 50. GCL Twins pitcher Blayne Weller received 40 votes to rank number 39. Congratulations to both Steve and Blayne.

All of the other six who participated in the last round will return. Added to the prospects for the 40th spot in this year's poll are Steven Hirschfield and DSL Twins pitcher, Pedro Guerra.

Hirschfield had one of the best years of any pitcher in the organization last year with the Ft. Myers Miracle. Guerra, 19, was a year or more older than most of the other top pitchers for the DSL Twins. The year he had however, was better than any other pitcher in the DSL. Guerra finished his season with a 7-0 record, 0.38 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 75K/12BB in 71.0 innings...a performance that was so good he was named the Dominican Summer League's "Pitcher of the Year."

I suspect if we asked all of us who should be included in the last ten rounds, we would have the names of twenty or thirty prospects. For that reason, what are your thoughts on increasing each round to ten prospects beginning with the next round?
