Mike Redmond

Redmond

Star-divide

On the minnesota twins getting rid of mike Redmond:  Redmond is one of a kind.  He seems to be one of the most humble person i know.  Every time some player made a historical play , he was out there first to congratulate and to maybe try and locate the baseball or bat used .   Kudos to Mike Redmond:  baseball needs more of you .       Great season with the twins.  good luck to you and the indians, unless you are playing the twins.................Deano34

I'll have a lot of fond memories of Red Dawg.

1. Smell ’em.
2. Belly flop on a triple
3. Naked batting practice
4. That really awful mustache
5. Beating Chuck Norris in a fight

What Jesse wrote

plus… Red Dawg taking a bat off the back of the head, blood pouring out and him acting as if he wanted to stay in the game.

Same season, him taking swings and the face of pain he had b/c his wrist was so banged up.

On both occasions he had to be talked out of the game…

He was just nails and I loved him being a Twin. It sucks he’s not one now and I have to see him as an Indian but at the same time, good for you Mike. I hope you have a great season…just not against MN.

nah, looks like it will be future coach with the Tribe now....

How do I tell my kid brother about Desmond Jennings? (he loves the Rays)

must be one of those rare occasions when Red hits it to LF

and the ball slowly rolls past Delmon as he slips on perfectly dry grass and gives Red the chance for a 3 bagger…

Or Red bats naked and everyone shuts their eyes

It would be an inside the park home run if Redmond didn’t run out of steam at 3rd

They'll set up an oxygen station for him at 2B.

That should get him home.

It it could be like one of those

Lifetime Movie feel good stories where he collapses, out of breath and buck naked nearing third base, and Morneau and Mauer carry him home.

(Cue the “Awwwww” sound)

I always loved that one.

Fixed that for you.

Red Dog

The Twins would love to have him abck when he stops making big money. Bill Smtih said so, but a minor league manager/coach takes quite a pay cut from a major league salary…and then you also have issues if you have young kids and want to become a temporary homebody.

Redmond flew in special this week for a Mauer tribute that ESPN filmed at Mauer’s high school.
